Geocache Description:

NY/MA/CT

A truly unique spot! The stone marker located here marks the convergence of the New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut state lines making this a tri-state border marker!

Just getting here in an adventure requiring some moderate hiking on some fairly primitive trails and former logging roads. Trails to this area are located on Mt. Washington Rd. in Massachusetts. Trails are accessed on the Connecticut side approximately 1.5 miles from the border. The hike will bring you near Brace Mt (which is worth a side trip)and Mt. Frissell which is the tallest mountain in the state of Connecticut. This entire area affords some spectacular 360 degree views! You'll enjoy a day of sightseeing and a great hike.

The cache is a .30 cal ammo can hidden near the marker. Please replace with care! Coordinates based on waypoint averaging performed by 3 Garmin Oregon GPS receivers.

When I was scouring the area for a good place to hide this I unearthed 3, yes three, letterboxes! So if you are a fan there are plenty to be had in the immediate vicinity.
