Just an ammo can in the woods. Nothing more classic that that!

LOTS of swag for the kids. Remember, trade up, trade even, or don't trade at all!

This location is home to Ohio's oldest summer-stock community theater, which originally began in a barn in Heath, Ohio, July 8, 1969.

In 1976 it was relocated to it's current location with the help of Newark Area Jaycees and the Ohio National Guard.

This site was also the scene of a devastating fire in 1987 which destroyed the original structure, but the Newark community rallied their support once again and rebuilt. Much of the reconstruction work was done by the Building Trade Classes of the neighboring Licking County Joint Vocational School, under the supervision of Jim Shoemaker.

Support from Newark Theater Community continues to this day, and through the efforts of the theater's board of directors, countless local donations, and the tireless dedication of the theater's former Managing Director Matthew Trombetta, a multi-million dollar capital improvement expansion is almost complete.

This cache is dedicated to our dear friend Matthew Trombetta, former Managing Director of Weathervane Playhouse, who we lost to a tragic automobile accident in the summer of 2010. This cache was his creation, and the continuing success of Weathervane Playhouse is a part of his legacy. He will be forever missed.
