Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is placed in the home territory of the glenferns and
takes you to a few of our favourite parks. The cache is a one litre
container hidden in a local park. Like our other caches to date its
a short mystery but hopefully a fun challenge for our fellow
cachers. Overall walking distance is less than 2km. The cache is
started with a couple of travel bugs, a pathtag for the first to
find and other goodies.
To find this cache you will need a local directory or map.
If you’re new to ciphers this page will also help:
http://www.scouting.org.za/codes/codeword.php
Note: I have coded in reverse to make it harder to crack the code
via software as this is against the spirit of the cache.
At the listed cache coordinates you will find a small park that
contains the first clue. Along the side and back fence there are
several large trees. Four of these (three down the side and one at
the back) are of a particular type. What is their common name? Use
this to decode the next location and clue:
Jq tq hbvlh sgqtt dcscdvc. Gqupt tdccs tbnncd tkbp twq stqdlcs qp
wcst slhc qi abtk tq gnuekqusc. (Ignore the large but messy camphor
laurel in answering the above).
Use the answer above to decode the next location and clue: Wmhe
lhrf nu sqhyfk he kcgjhg shdp?
Finally, use the answer above to decode the cache location. Bfvfbuf
gmf qfggfbu. fvnkcxnu f fsnsfvnkbeck u.
Cache is located at S 33 46.??? E 151 04.???
Inside the lid of this cache you will find a clue to the location
of the final cache in the Cipher series, Cipher SEVEN
