To mark my 150th cache, I’ve decided to hide my first.
This cache is located in the wooded area behind the amphitheater. I’d been to both the amphitheater and adjacent soccer fields on many different occasions, but geocaching is what finally brought me “into” these woods. The first time here was on a windy day and as I listened to the creaking and moaning of the trees, I remember thinking that it was only a matter of time before something came crashing down. Thankfully though, I was wrong and made it out safe! I've been back numerous times since and as of yet (knock on wood) haven’t once had to scream out, “Timmmmmbberrr!!!!”
While searching, take time to enjoy the scenery and wildlife that surrounds you. If you’re lucky, you may even get to listen to a little live music. This cache is supposed to be difficult, but not impossible. BYOP and please do not move the cache from its permanent location. For the prepared cacher, the log can easily be removed/replaced as is. To help maintain the "hide" and difficulty rating, please replace everything as found. If you think it might be moved from its original location or notice a problem, send me an e-mail and I’ll check on it.
