An easy grab – just not a quick one. This is a beautiful regional park that needed another cache or two to lure people out to see it –travel bug and a gold dollar coin for first to find.
August 2013 Update - Park is open Parking is $6
Refer to the Flood Control cache description about parking and access.
Cache is a camo’d Altoids tin, and can be reached by hiking on one of the dirt roads in the park. It is a flat 1.1 mile round trip from the gate to this cache and back. The road to this cache, depending on the one you pick, is full of ruts. Be very wary of the cactus needles as your probe for the cache
*****Congratulations to Chaosmanor as FTF! *****
5/28/11 Update - a new horseshoe has been hung, since the original vanished
8/20/11 Update: Replaced the horseshoe yet again, because the previous one vanished. Whoever took had to work a bit to take it - I thought it would discourage them
