Secret Stanmore Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

chiptheduck: Thanks to Big G Wiz for alerting me to a problem.

I visited the final location today and the cache has gone missing again. The vegetation has been cut right back so there is no longer a suitable hiding place. I'm therefore archiving it.

The cache was in Bernays Gardens. If anyone wants to know the puzzle answers email me through my profile.

Geocache Description:

There is unrestricted parking at the additional waypoint below - an ideal starting point for a walk of under a mile.

Firstly locate a small cache at the above location to give you the coordinates of a place where you can find answers to the questions below. These will allow you to determine the location of the final cache close by which is accessible from 8.00am until sunset.

Both caches are in places which many residents of Stanmore will never have visited and probably don't know about.

The first stage is a large camo micro located at N51° 36.645 W000°18.797. This provides you with the coordinates of the place where you can answer the following questions:

On the memorial to those who fell in the First War

- A = Number of letters in the full name of someone who could help you on your travels abroad
- B = Number of letters in the surname of Charles and Wilfred

Now take a walk around the churchyard.

- On the blue sign facing the road C = Number of letters in the very appropriate surname
- Find the grave of "a brave and noble man" who died on April 21st 19DE
- The ashes of a famous composer who died on May 29th 1911 whilst rescuing a girl from drowning at nearby Grimsdyke are buried here. He was born on November 18th 18F6.
- The very old church is open for G hours on summer Saturdays
- Against the very old wall it seems poor Sarah was never born and maybe never died. However, she was baptized on December 16th 1764 and was buried on November 1Hth 1865.

The final cache is located at:

N51° FB.C(A-F)D W000° H(C-H).(B+G+E)DC

It is small clip and lock in a camo bag and is suitable for trackables and small swops.

There is an unregistered TB for the FTF.

This cache has been placed by Chip the Duck and Frango Piri Piri, the Poultry Twins. Happy hunting!

*** Congratulations to Miyigawa and Neekeem on (a very rapid) FTF ***
