Parking can be found at N50 38.093 W002 27.967 and then use the adjacent bridleway. Parking is also available in the nearby supermarket. Do Not Stray on to the Main carriageway, this cache is only accessed from the Cycle/Footpath.
This Micro cache is placed in recognition of the £89m Weymouth Relief Road, which has opened after more than 60 years of planning. The 4.5 mile (7km) long road, which was first proposed in 1948, was granted planning permission in April 2008. It was officially opened by Princess Anne on 10th Dec 2010, though at that stage it was not ready. It was open to traffic on 17th March 2011. From this vantage point it is possible to see across to the Park & Ride, the railway below, and the adjacent southern end of the new road. This cache can be accessed by wheelchair users on tarmac paths, though there is a slope.... but some assistance maybe needed with the retrieval.
