Ob vznožju strmega Huma stoji grad Tabor, ki prica o davnih stoletjih zgodovine. Njegov nastanek sega v davno dvanajsto stoletje. Bil je sedež laške gospošcine in sodišca. Kasneje je deželni knez grad izrocil tržanom, da so se vanj zatekali pred turško nevarnostjo. Ko so turški vpadi ponehali, so trdnjavo postopoma opustili. Pocasi, a vztrajno, je propadla. Skoraj dve stoletji je bil grad v razvalinah.

On the foot of the steep Hum there is the castle Tabor that speaks about the ancient history. Its construction derives from the 12th century. It was the seat of the Laško lordship and court. Later on the country’s duke gave the castle to the inhabitants of the square to use it as a retreat before the Turkish danger. When the Turkish invasions stopped the fortress was gradually abandoned. The castle slowly dilapidated and it was a ruin for almost two centuries.
