Geocache Description:

An easy cache once you get there.

This cache was placed to thank a well known cacher in Pictou County who has placed many caches for the rest of us to find.

He and his crew are always one of the FTF cachers so I wanted to create a cache that he and his crew might not be able to access easily. (Sorry Jim. Lol.)

After placing the Cache I noted it looks like a small shelter that someone might have been staying in right beside Cache location.

Launch boat, canoe or kayak at the Middle River Pumping station. (Don't forget to check out GC2J7PH - Middle River Pumping Station cache placed by Caching with Beagles while you are here.) From here follow your GPS. If you are traveling in a boat with an outboard motor becareful when you approach the island as it shallows up quickly and you might bump your lower end.

Be sure to wear your PFD and make sure you have the required boating safety equipment in your vessel at all times. You can check the following link to make sure you have the required equipment. (visit link)

While you are on the water be sure to venture around the damn and check out the rest of the caches I have placed. If you have brought your fishing rod there is a very healthy population of small mouth bass here. You may see me on the water fishing. If you see a guy in a blue and white 14 foot boat catching lots of fish be sure to wave to me.

Good luck and enjoy the damn.
