Geocache Description:

Congratulations, iimimby for the FTF!

My first attempt at a cache; we need more East Helena caches, so let's hope this one satisfies. Should be an easy park-and-grab, and how can anyone miss a purple bison tube, anyhow?

Before I moved to Montana, I came to visit a friend who lived down Wylie. This store was the first landmark I was given for a place to turn. Seeing as how this store is strictly a Montana company, I had no idea what he was talking about, and had to ask again. He explained that it was a gas station/convenience store. The location is helpful, since Wylie Drive and Fourth Street are the same street at this location, and out-of-town visitors are more able to see the store than any street signs anyway. I still use this landmark, as I now live in the neighborhood. Were he to give the same directions today, he would have to explain as I do that one would need to turn at the second fuel stop, on the West side of town. There is another shop of the same name near the grocery store, that didn't exist 19 years ago.

The cache is a purple bison tube, hung about 5 or 6 feet off of the ground. Plan to access this one from Main Street, rather than the highway, for safety. This is a high muggle area, so be discreet while finding and replacing this one. There is a Where's George $1 bill inside for the first to find (pretty tight fit). It has a very small log with no writing implement, so bring your own. Limit logs to initials, please, to preserve room. No dates necessary. Please, after rolling up the log, replace in the cap rather than the body, as it will likely be nearly impossible to retrieve if it is down the tube. Be cautious with replacing the cache, as irretrievable loss could result!

This cache is dedicated to my friend Dave Tracy, who died at 41 years old in 1996, leaving behind 7 children. He was my best friend, and the one who gave me the directions described above. He's the one responsible for me finding my way home.
