Village Creek State Park offers many fun recreational opportunities, one of them being lot's of trails for exploring of the park. What better way to compliment this exploration than to have the opportunity to find a cache while you're at it..
The trail leading straight back to the swimming area adds up to a little over two miles roundtrip, and with the Tupelo trail looping off the main trail, you could probably add another quarter to half mile to your hike.
This cache is placed off the Tupelo trail and is relatively easy to get to. Once there, you'll be looking for a regular sized container hidden a tad bit differently than most. Won't give you anymore here but the hint below will help if you end up having trouble locating it. As always, please be sure to sign the logbook while there and also try to rehide the cache back the way you found it.
As with all caches hidden in nature, be sure to watched where you step and stick your hands. Lot's of critters everywhere and you never know when you'll run across one. Bug spray isn't usually required out here for skeeters but there are ticks and redbugs at times that might want to hitch a ride with you. It might not hurt to apply some around your feet and legs just in case.
This cache has been hidden with VSCP's permission. The proper state park permit was submitted and approved. Also, please keep in mind that there is a small entry fee charged for access into the park.
We hope you have fun finding this one.
Goodluck!
