Geocache Description:

Welcome to the meeting place of LARC that is the LaGrange Amateur Radio Club of which I am a long time member.

The LaGrange Amateur Radio Club is a great club for radio operators. They meet the first Thursday night of each month at 7:00 PM Eastern Time. I have been a ham since 2006, that summer I went to the field day with my family with LARC. We started going to club meetings ever since. The people are all very friendly. I have seen the club grow from about ten people to over fourty people now. The club used to meet above the red cross building, but we wouldn't fit there now. We now have an Emergency Operations Room (club shack / radio room) and an Emergency Mobile Operations Trailer. We provide communications for over twenty public service events yearly. Most of our members are ARES members and are NIMS and PLI certified. Our club loves to meet and eat. But our meetings are both fun and a learning experience. The first half of the meeting is business, the second half is a training class.
