The co-ordinates will take you to the Dibble Tree garden, with a sycamore at the roadside and what remains of the Dibble Tree at the back. Legend has it that a local farmer, Tammas Louson , left his dibble stick in a field and that stick grew into the great tree. A dibble is a (willow) branch used to make holes in the ground for planting seeds. Louson descendants still have a presence in Carnoustie

There are other nearby caches. You can walk all over the golf courses. Note that if a red flag is flying at the south end of the beach the path to the lighthouses will be closed.
