Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the published co-ordinates.

This is a series of 9 caches located along a section of the Trans Pennine Trail near Formby. TPT Music 1 to 8 are puzzles involving music of the 60's and 70's that need to be worked out before you go. Please note the location of this cache is along a footpath about 3/4 mile from the TPT main trail.

To identify the north co-ordinates you need to work out which three songs I am referring to. Each song has three clues, the first refers to the group/singer, second is the song and thirdly the number within the song. Once complete you will have three numbers - Variable A, B and C. Now carry out the calculation given within the section. This should result in a number between 000 and 999.

To identify the west co-ordinates you need to work out the name of the 3 album covers. Taking the first letter of each album use the chart below to identify its corresponding number. These three numbers should then substitute the published west co-ordinates.

  • Satisfied with their first No 1 in the US, this follow up single was the groups response to the pressure being put upon them to produce more hit singles.
  • The floor where I live is Variable A

  • You should have no trouble in finding the boss's name between D and F Street.
  • Research has Born out that this song’s meaning has changed over the years. It started off about two people finding their way in life To simply two people finding their way home. The different versions are likely to Run for a while yet.
  • The number of the highway is Variable B

  • The 3 members of this group all had British mothers and United States Air Force fathers. Are they named after the country they had hardly seen or a particular make of juke box ?
  • This song is about a journey of self discovery. This doesn’t seem to be very helpful so think of five animals 1-Mr Ed, 2-Trigger, 3-Red Rum, 4-Silver. Oh! the last one’s moniker is absent.
  • The number of days when his skin started to turn red is Variable C
