POLITE REQUEST: PLEASE promote and uphold the 'Library' ethos and ONLY swap books when visiting this cache. This is to maintain a sound stock of books for others and to keep the originality of the idea of a 'library cache'
With the Government hell bent on closing many of the UK's libraries this cache is our little attempt at keeping at least one, unique, library up and running. Essentially a book swapping cache this cache starts it's life with 7 books, at least 3 of which are kids books. The idea is to take a book along and swap it with one in 'The Library' cache, hopefully you will write in the log book what you've taken and what you've left so we can see the range of books that travel through the library.
The cache is a black, screw top, 'BDH Container'. This can only hold paperback books so keep those hardbacks at home folks! Ideally, smaller/thinner books work best as you may find yourself at the cache unable o fit it the book! I'll monitor this and maybe adjust the number of books in the library to suit. Obviously ensure the top is well screwed up and the cache is hidden well when you leave.
The cache is to be found in the woods above Chatsworth. They can be accessed from the House itself or alternatively from along the path from Hells Bank Plantation on Beeley Moor.
