This is a letterbox hybrid cache with a log book and a signature stamp which is NOT FOR TRADE. Use the provided stamp to make an image in your personal log book. Use your personal signature stamp to make an image in the cache’s log book. Write the date by your stamp's image! In addition to the log book and stamp, the cache contains a pencil and small swag.
UPDATE 11/6/11 *ink pad removed for winter--please bring your own ink in form of stamp pad or marker.
FTF prize is a hand-carved stamp.

This is the first in a series of Letterbox Hybrid caches placed in Webster County cemeteries. Each site site will have a unique, hand-carved stamp for collecting a variety of stamped images in your log.
(If you don't have a stamp, still sign the log! Leave a doodle or your fingerprint turned into a critter.)
Please be respectful of the area.
During the work week this can be a high muggle traffic area with trucks coming and going from the quarry and asphalt company further down the road. Use stealth and have fun!

Olaf II Haraldsson (born in 995, died July 29, 1030) was king of Norway from 1015 to 1028. Olaf is credited with establishing Christianity in Norway. As such, many churches (or church related institutions) of Norwegian heritage are named for the patron saint, who was canonized a year after his death.
Locally, St. Olaf Lutheran Church began as an off-shoot of the Norwegian Lutheran congregation at Badger, IA. In the beginning it was served by the same pastor, who was also responsible for the church in Duncombe, IA. Through the years, as Fort Dodge grew, St. Olaf became the largest of the three Norwegian heritage Lutheran congregations in the immediate area.
The cemetery lies east of Douglas Township in Webster County. It is adjacent to the Douglas Township Cemetery, which is also known as the Carpenter Cemetery. Combined there are over 950 grave sites in the cemeteries dating back to the 1860's.
For Atlas Quest visitors: two lines of trees act as sentinels in the cemetery. Go to the western line of trees, in the St. Olaf grounds. As you face the setting sun, aim for the sentinel with the most legs to stand on.
