In January 2012 it went missing, so it has been replaced by a better disguised container and hidden amongst natural camouflage at the edge of the path. Also, the hint has changed to reflect its new hiding place, although the coordinates remain the same, as it's only 2ft away from the original hiding place. I'm happy for anyone who has already found this to have another go - it's a very different container, with different camouflage, in a different position and with a different hint. To all intents and purposes, it will be a different find.
This cache is situated in a bank (where else would you expect to find a cache deposit?) near Llyn Tegid - Bala Lake - not directly alongside the lake as it floods too often and all the banks on the foreshore end up under water. It is accessible by wheelchair, you’ll just need to reach across to it. Parking is available in several places, although there are Pay-and-Display signs around, so the best place to park, for free, is at the small car park at the end of Tegid Street. You could just as easily approach this from Bala Leisure Centre, or from a footpath that leads off the car park behind the shops, across the road from the Shell petrol station. Where-ever you start from, the walk along the bank and along the lake foreshore is easy, along flat, newly-laid tarmac, so why not carry on and enjoy the lake foreshore.
Please, please replace it where you found it....for some reason it has been moved several metres by different cachers.
