Central Hall is a small woodland area in Wrockwardine Wood that we
called "Cinder Hill" when we were growing up. It was a fantastic
area for kids to play in and consists of one main lake and many
small swamps along with a large field and various pathways
connecting Wrockwardine Wood to Donnington.
The route of the Donnington Canal ran through the southern section
of the area, and there was also a Tin Chapel (the "dissident
Methodist" Central Hall) that sat on top of one of the many
"hills", but was dismantled during the 1980s. The area is now
commonly known as "The Snake" because of its winding paths which
locals say reminded them of a snake. This is an unknown size cache
with log book, pencil and 5 or 6 swaps plus a surprise for FTF!! To
make this cache more interesting for you it is locked with a 3
digit combination lock. To access it you need to know about
Telford. The answers are readily available on-line. For the 1st
number of the lock (A) you will need to find out the year the only
Motorway in Telford was completed (_ _ A _). For the 2nd number of
the lock (B) what is the 1st number of the name of that Motorway?
For the 3rd and final number of the lock (C) you need to find out
the postcode of Telford Central Railway Station and add the two
numbers together to make one number. You should now have a 3 number
combination. When you reach the cache you will now be able to open
the lock. When you have replaced the lock please mix up the
combination for the next person. You might find that the 2nd digit
(B) needs to be slightly offset. If you want to email me to double
check the lock combination please feel free. or you can find my
mobile number on fb west mid gc group paf document to text me for a
quicker answer! Please can you try to not move the dials when the
shackle is open, very hard with this lock i appreciate, but I might
replace the lock if others have problems with it. After the
fabulous comments we received following “Muxton Merriment
no5, its not what it looks like”, I thought I would try and
go one better with this cache!!! Hope you like it....please feel
free to add photos to your log! Please could you ensure you rehide
the cache as well as you found it, if not better-thanks again.
