Älvsåker kyrka är byggd under tidig medeltid, man tror att den kom till under 1200-talet. År 1756 förlängdes kyrkan. Kyrkan har en fristående klockstapel i trä. Den renoverades under 2005-2006. Kyrkklockorna är från 1768 och 1782.

Kyrkan hade talmålningar från 1700-talet som målades av Sven Wernberg, men dessa målades över år 1756 av Ditolf Ross.

Dopfunten är från 1250-talet. Altaret är från 1985. Krufixet är från 1985 och är gjord av Eva Spångberg.

Älvåker kyrka is built during the early Middle Ages, and one thinks it orginates from the 13:th century. The year 1756 the church was extended. The church has a free standing church tower made out of wood. It was renovated during 2005-2006. The church bells are from 1768 and 1782.
The church had ceiling paintings from the 18:th century that was painted by Sven Wernberg, but those were painted over with new ceiling paintings by Ditolf Ross in 1756.

The Christening font is from around 1250. The altar is from 1985. The crucufux is from 1985 and is made by Eva Spångberg.
