This cache is place in the woods around the Keele University
campus. You can take a nice pleasant walk through the woods and
around the lakes. There are marked trails through the woods and
there is a leaflet available giving information about the trees and
wildlife. For more information see the Keele Aboretum
website. April and May is a great time to walk around the campus as
the large collection of cherry trees will be in blossom and the
bluebells will be out in the woods.
This cache almost didn't exist. I wanted to place this cache
last year for the Kippa event, but couldn't as it was too close to
an existing cache. Well now that one has been archived here it is
at last!
The path can be a bit muddy and it also gets close the the lake
in places so please take care especially with the geokids.
Parking is free at the weekend and after 5pm during the week in
any of the main car parks on campus. At other times it is Pay and
Display, but only on certain car parks.
