Geocache Description:

A micro cache is placed in a small park DOUZA KOEN park.

The area including Osaka Castle and Naniwa-no-miya Palace corresponds to the north end of Uemachi Highland (UEMACHI-DAICHI). Long and long ago, this part used to be a peninsular or island sticking out to Osaka Bay. It is believed that very first immigrants landed this area from the China Continent and Korean Peninsular to bring technologies, cultures, and religions to Japan. Some settled here and others moved along a river to Nara --- some argue that the nation called YAMATAIKOKU was there.

Whatever the oldest history of Japan might be, it is no doubt Osaka was such a geographically important place in the history.

Today, such importance is barely remembered. However, if you walk from Osaka Castel, Naniwa-no-miya Palace to this small park on the edge of the Uemachi Highland, you may recall Osaka has such a long history.

Come to this park to take a break during your exploration. Close your eyes and imagine old days of Osaka.

Thanks.
