Geocache Description:

The location can be accessed in a wheelchair but may require assistance in retrieving the actual cache. Plenty of parking either near the cache or in the Wheal Martyn Car Park. Dog friendly with the usual provisos of clearing up after your pooch.

This is part of the old China Clay railway sidings, with no visible tracks. Now being utilised as part of 'The Clay Trails of Cornwall'. This route leads you to the Wheal Martyn China Clay Country Park and was officially opened at the end of March 2006.
The Cina Clay industry was named ECLP then ECC and in 1999 ECC International was acquired by the French company Imetal which subsequently changed its name to Imerys.
If you continue along the trail up to Wheal Martyn car park take a look over the fence at Lansalson Pit. It's a beautiful sight when the sun is shining.
