This is the 15th cache in a series commemorating my favorite golf courses I have played. This is Black Lake Golf Club.
Black Lake Golf Club is located in Onaway, Michigan. It is owned by the UAW and also is one of many courses designed by one of the greats in course architecture, Rees Jones. While some courses have 2 or 3 holes that could be on the cover of a magazine, Black Lake has a dozen or so holes that could do that. It has received many awards, including #34 Greatest public courses in America's top 100 in 2009. The course itself is in immaculate condition with the only bad lies being the ones that are in the woods or water. The practice facility is state of the art and they also have a "Little 9", a par 3 course suited for youngsters who want to experience the game in an easier and more fun setting. Black Lake, one more of Michigan's hidden gems, is one worthy of playing if in Northern Michigan.
Now for the cache. You are looking for a micro that is well hidden. I rated the difficulty higher because of muggle possibilities. There are times there will be no one in sight and you can search at ease. At other times however, you may have to look like you "belong", or better yet, save it for another day.
There is no room for a pencil, so bring your own, and make sure to put it back EXACTLY as you found it. Good luck and have fun!!!
Congrats to Geoconsumer for FTFT!!!
