Geocache Description:

This is one of several geocaches I placed for the SETX Gang Spring Fling 2011 event (GC230HZ). Unfortunately, due to a gas well explosion in the southern section of the park and the trails being temporarily closed, I'm just now able to publish these caches.

Being a state park, there is a $2 per day entrance fee for persons 13 and older. Admission for children 12 and under is free. Please stop by the headquarters to pay your fee. While you are there, get a free "trail" map. It will be handy for finding these caches.

The park is 1090 heavily forested acres bordering Village Creek. As in any woodland environment, you may encounter local wildlife so be aware of your surroundings. I highly recommend bringing insect repellant, a walking stick, plenty of water, and wearing comfortable shoes on this adventure.

All geocaches have been placed with the permission of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. A permit is on file in the Park's headquarters.

The park rangers have asked us to minimize our geo-trails. Consequently, you shouldn't have to do any real bushwhacking to get to these hides. I've tried to make them accessible to all levels of geocachers visiting the park.

For this cache, you will be looking for a camo welding tube. The cache contains a log and tradeables. Please place it back exactly how you found it. Happy Hunting!
