Geocache Description:

This cache is near to one of the paths that criss-cross the woods below Gibbet Hill. In fact, its where two paths intersect. So its easy to get close, but then its up to you to find it! The paths are fairly well established and marked, but sometimes a fallen tree will block your path and require you to clamber over/walk round. The paths can also often be a bit muddy, so wellies are a good idea if it is/has been wet.

This is the first cache hidden by Team Roundles. While there are a number of places you can start from, perhaps the best is to park at the National Trust carpark by the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead. Then walk to Gibbet Hill and start from there. Its downhill to the cache, which means a walk back uphill. But we hope its worth it. You may also be able to find a few other nearby caches on the way. The container is an old fashioned ammo box, with the usual goodies.

A clue? Can you see a giant's withered claw lying on the ground? If so, its behind his wrist!
