Geocache Description:

When Hagar was away and taking time of national rejoicing and celebrations, Helga sailed virtually east. A Viking without a boat is like an Englishman without an umbrella.

Auckland is like a little Sydney as far as it is built around a harbour. It has its own Harbour bridge, Auckland Harbour Bridge.

The cache is planted not far from head of the Waitemata Harbour, the main access by sea to Auckland, New Zealand. The name “Waitemata” comes from the Maori language, with Wai te Mataa referring to obsidian glass. The 'sparkling waters' of the harbour were said to glint like the volcanic glass prised by these early arrivals to the harbour.

The cache is placed on behalf of The Vikings by G-2, who also has offered to maintain, thanks Glyn aka G-2.
