Geocache Description:

Church Creek is the site of a Non-Directional Beacon (NDB), which is used as a locator to guide aircraft on their approach to Canberra Airport. Aircraft navigate to this beacon, which places them in the correct position to use the Canberra ILS to land.

If you draw a line along the runway, and extend it south, the line will reach this NDB.

If you have a radio that covers the Long wave (LW) frequencies, then you can listen to this beacon on 248khz. It transmits the morse code characters 'CCK'

The cache is located near this facility. No need to go past the fence.

June 2016 : The beacon has been switched off, replaced by GPS technology! The end of an era...
