The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve trails are an easy walk and well used by people, dogs and horses. Biking here is welcomed and makes this non-circular area a breeze for caching, though the many simple pleasures provided by the river, forest and wildlife could be missed. But you’d need to know about the biking first, as well as having bikes and bike racks…
This Cache mini-series is meant to thank the other Rotary Trail cache owners for their work and thoughts to bring us here, and to soothe geo-parents and kids on long walks. My son loves to go geocaching, but is low in spunk when there are ‘gaps’ between finds. Even less giddy-up if it turns into attempts to make finds. Even if the trails, like these, are flat, and the footing good. And less still when wet and at the end of our happy trails with no goodies or drinks left. Apparently wild berries and the wonders of nature are not always enough. Thus, a “filling in the gaps” mini-series, though all are not just a walk in the park. Bring your own pen, water and goodies. Please be gentle with the caches. Thanks. **Please watch your/children's footing near the river. Congradulations to Solonm for FTF, and for the first use of a "bark log" I've ever seen!
