When you turn of the motorway you will first come to "Teaterparken".

Teaterparken är en tidstypisk sekelskiftespark från 1902. Centralt i parken ligger Nyköpings teater som öppnade 1884. 2009 renoverades den och firade 125-års jubileum. Innan parken framför teatern anlades var där ett torg där det bland annat bedrevs kreaturshandel
Brunnen i parken byggdes 1903 och var på sin tid omstridd. Lejonornamenten som pryder kanten är av nyare årgång då de ursprungliga blev stulna på 80-talet.
Idag får parken sin karaktär av de höga, över hundra år gamla lindarna och av sommarblommor.
Parken är välbesökt då många gående dagligen passerar på sin väg mellan busstationen och centrum.

"Teaterparken" is a typical park from 1902. Centrally located in the park you will find the theater of Nyköping that opened 1884. Renovated in 2009 and celebrated the 125th anniversary. Before the park in front of the theater was built there was a square market with cattle trade.
The well the park was built in 1903 and was controversial in its time. The ornaments that adorn the edge is of more recent vintage as the original was stolen in the 80s.
In the park you can find over a century old lime trees and wildflowers.
The park is popular when many temporary daily pass on their way between the bus station and city center.
