Wilby All Saints is a real church explorer's church. Ask anyone
who has visited a lot of East Anglian churches for their
favourites, and if they like big, rustic, prayerful, ramshackle
buildings with plenty of medieval features, a real atmosphere and a
sense of being a touchstone down the long generations, then Wilby
is bound to feature. More of this detail and pictures are available
here http://www.quidenhamgroup.co.uk/all-saints-wilby/
Note: Please be sensitive and avoid searching when the church is
in use. Sunday Services are only held once a month and apart from
the odd wedding, visiting at weekends should be fine. It is worth
going inside if it is open - this was one of the few churches that
escaped the vandalism of the reformation!
Please take care to conceal the cache carefully after you find
it!
We would like to thank the Rector - Revd. David Hill - for
allowing us to place caches in the six churches in the Quidenham Group of Parishes.
Hopefully you will take advantage of your visit to explore the
churches themselves.
If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I
would just ask that you could let Sadexploration
know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to
avoid duplication
