The " Instant Relative Series " is a means to connect stories with names, lives and memories of intriguing people from the past.Series has been created because of my interest in history, genealogy research, people and Geo-caching. Instant relatives arenot related directly to our family, BUT who knows? The goal is to geocache cemeteries in order to share stories which will entertain, educate and on occasion provide a little humor. If one should find inaccuracies within stories or information posted, please email and corrections will be made as necessary. As one epitaph on a monument a cemetery in Savannah, Georgia reads, " Cosmos Mariner Destination Unknown".To learn more about Geo-caching, please visit www.geocaching.com The Overbecks created fabulously popular works of art in numerous mediums. All from this area know the interesting history of loving and creative family. My mother, born at the turn of the 20th century lived to a young age of 97, passing only after a serious fall. Still in exceptionally good health and as alert as ever until her demise, she shared her memories of this wonderfully creative family with us over the years. In her middle years she became a regular visitor to the studios of the Overbecks befriending them with Mary Frances being her connection. She had often commented during her later years& hellip;.." Wish I had taken the pieces she wanted to give me. Soooo Nana sculpted a few pieces that have an Overbeck nuance about them.
