The cache is place in the beautiful Train Engine park of Kiryat Haroshet, a small village founded at 1934. The park is located on the path of the old Jezreel train trail. This cache is very close to the “The Valley railway - Elroy station” cache (GC1QGQ4).
The Jezreel Valley railway, or simply the Valley railway (Hebrew: Rakevet HaEmek) refers to a historical railroad in Ottoman and British Palestine, which was part of the larger Hejaz railway and ran along the Jezreel Valley.
It was built in the beginning of the 20th century and connected Haifa with the rest of the Hejaz railway, its last stop within the Palestine Mandate borders being al-Hamma. After many failed attempts, the final planning and construction lasted 4 years. The railway was inaugurated on October 15, 1905 and operated until the middle of the 20th century.
Train Engine park (Hebrew: PARK HAKATAR) is a nice reconstruction of this old train. Children can play there, and there are picnic tables as well. The cache is hidden at ground level. It is a micro blue plastic container with a log and a toy.
