This cache is a micro placed with the intention to let the cacher see Wolfe Island's current community centre and the hard work its residents are doing to help make this dream a reality.
This cache was placed to commemorate Wolfe Island's bid for Hockeyville. Winning top prize will mean a substantial boost to the efforts to bring a proper ice surface to the island.
On the day it was placed, Wolfe Island was having a huge party to celebrate the announcement of the overall winner of the prize. It seemed only fitting to place this cache as a reminder of our efforts.
Did Wolfe Island win? Are we officially known as the land of hockey within Canada for 2011?
