Geocache Description:

The path from the car park is good but steep. At the bottom of the hill is a narrow path to the cache. The art work and artists book associated with the cache are in place. You could visit 'Trelissick Views from Turnaware' at the same time.
It is easy to land a small boat on the beach at all stages of the tide.
There is free parking for several cars at N 50° 12.161 W 005° 01.941

I am planning on creating seven caches around the River Fal estuary. Each one will be linked to a piece of art work, located close to the cache. As an added bonus, in each cache there will be an artist’s book which a few thoughts and drawings already included and also many blank pages. I would like to invite you to take a few moments to sketch something from your thoughts about the location or the sculpture. These books will then form part of an exhibition later in 2011 at my final university show. I will then return them to the caches for everyone to enjoy. THE ARTIST'S BOOK HAS NOW BEEN REMOVED FOR MY DEGREE SHOW. IT WILL BE BACK LATER IN THE SUMMER. If you want to know more about this project visit my blog: (visit link)
Basically, if you do not walk, my art will not exist!
Turnaware point was a strategiaclly important site during WW2 as it was used for the embarkation of American troops giong to the Normandy landings. Prior to that, oak trees from here would have een used to construct Henry VIII's navy. Today it is a beautifully wooded site owned by the National Trust with a lovely quiet beech where people bathe and BBQ in the summer. "Thanks to the National Trust for permission in placing this cache"
