This cache has been archived.

frankiebo: I have had a good look for the cache now and I am afraid I think that it must have blown/washed away. What a shame.

Geocache Description:

You have several options for approaching this cache. The easiest place to park is at St Antony Head, 50 08.580 005 00.775.(loos, and teas in the summer) but you might chose to come over from St Mawes on the Place ferry and walk around the headland or you could land on one of the nearby beaches and awlk up the hill. The artist's book at the sculpture are in place but you cannot quite see one from the other. Beware the cliff edge and the water with small children!

I am planning on creating seven caches around the River Fal estuary. Each one will be linked to a piece of art work, located close to the cache. As an added bonus, in each cache there will be an artist’s book with a few thoughts and drawings already included and also many blank pages. I would like to invite you to take a few moments to sketch something from your thoughts about the location or the sculpture. These books will then form part of an exhibition later in 2011 at my final university show. I will then return them to the caches for everyone to enjoy. THE ARTIST'S BOOK HAS NOW BEEN REMOVED FOR MY DEGREE SHOW. IT WILL BE BACK LATER IN THE SUMMER. If you want to know more about this project visit my blog: (visit link)
Basically, if you do not walk, my art will not exist!
The pines at Carricknath are a significant landmark. This is a beautful site where these trees have stood for a very long time but many of the specimens are is a sad state of health. They are not trees which are native to this part of the world but they can bee seen all along the south coast of Cronwall becuase they are salt tolerant and do not mind the wind. Thanks to the Place Estate for permission in placing this cache
