Geocache Description:

The cache difficulty might vary depending on the water level.

Craven Pond is one of several wetlands surrounding Stone Lake. It is home to frogs, turtles and a wide variety of birds. There is a walking trail around the pond with two observation decks.

The pond is named after Frederic Craven. He was an architect and model ship builder. Some of his models are on display at the La Porte County Museum and Chicago's Museum of Science & Industry.
