Come visit a relatively new section on Nevada State Parks – The Big Bend Conservation Area. No fee access.
This is a Limited access area due to a locked gate at night – Hours are 8am – 5pm only
Vehicles with trailer are prohibited within the gate (you are able to legally and safely park outside and a short walk in to grab the cache)
While this is an easy Park and Grab - take some time to see what the area has to offer during your visit:
Read about the vegetation and wildlife.
Have a picnic lunch on one of the shaded picnic benches.
Hike on designated trails
Wildlife viewing areas
It has a boathouse and well house – for official use only
Please do not remove Plants, Rocks or any other material from the property.
10/21/11 Accessibility for this area has changed. According to the Ranger in Nevada State Park Big Bend it is no longer under their control. No one at this point knows when the area will be open and when its closed. The easy access from the road maybe hit or miss at this point. Still accessible for those that are creative enough from the water side!
