Huey Run Lake is one of a series of flood-controls known as the Upper Buffalo Creek Watershed Project, which has been very effective at controlling downstream flooding and providing recreational activities for local residents. WVDNR stocks the lake with trout in the appropriate seasons, and Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Bluegills, Crappie, Catfish, and an occaisional skinny-dipper are known to be caught here at times - and as of now you may even run into a geocacher in this otherwise cache depraved area. The container can accomodate some small trade items. Contents at the time of placement included several of the more useful Dollar Store type items, and a couple of things relevant to the date, inluding a special prize for the FTF.
