Nice cache with a nice Mural to view.

1895 The business started by Sam and Eleanor Whyte and family at Burrawang villiage.(Nearby)
1898 moved to Moss Vale.
1903 John D (Jack) Whyte was born. Sam and Eleanor had eight children (all became tailors)
1929 Jack Whyte married Nea Boys. (They had five children)
1931 Jack bought the business. Changed the name to "Whytes"and then developed the Slogan. ÿou can face the world when dressed by Whytes"
All of their children and some neices and nephews worked in the business.
1969 Whytes double their floor space.
1982 Opened "Whytes"in Mittagong.
2000 Whytes had been established for 105 years.
2010 established for 115years.
Has now been purchased by one of the next generation. So it is still in the family .
I have had the privalidge of working for this family business for 43yrs. Firstly doing my apprenticeship as a tailor, then working my way thru to being in charge of the Tailloring Dept for many years..
The cache is somewhat different. Do be careful of the "possums" that work behind the mural. They are aware that some cachers could be lurking around.
I have also got permission from the owners to place it there.
You will have to bring a pen. and PLEASE PLACE IT BACK IN THE SAME POSITION.
I hope you can enjoy the history of this fantastic family business. Perhapes even go down to the main shop and have a look around and but something.
