Geocache Description:

The cache is in a Small friendly country village in the Sothern Highlands. With scenery very similar to Exeter in Great Britian.

This area has a bit of history.
James Badgery was the pioneer of Exeter with 500 acres being granted to him in 1822.
May 1891 Exeter school was opened
1907 a new school building was built.
It was decided to build a Church of England in 1894, with a dedication ceremony being performed in January 1896.The Chruch was called St. Aidens.
1900 a School of Arts was established and final building was completed and opened in December 1902. (Costing A630 pounds)
On the 12th of February1950 His Excelency Sir John Northcott unveilled the War Memorioal Gates at the entrance to Exeter Park.
On the 28th of August 1929 the first electric light in Exeter was turned on.
The branch of the Country Women's Association was formed in 1946 and in January 1955 they had new rooms on land donated by FE Badgery. The organisation is still in opperations.
The Badgery family has had a tremendous influence in the history of this village.
There is a great little general store and coffee shop as well as a nice antique shop.
It is also situated on the Main Sothern Railway Line.
The cache is in a lovely sports park were cricket,hockey, tennis and croquet are all activy performed.
