Stan's Lunch Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Galileo the cat: Public postings indicate that the construction in this area will resume in a few months with the new building to be open in mid-2015. The area is slowly being blocked off. There are also some vans continually parked in the vicinity that look like people are living in them. It's time for this one to go, but the area has possibilities for new caches. Thanks to all who found it.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A sign-only magnetic nano. No need to go in bushes or climb fences.

In the movie Mr. 3000, Bernie Mac plays Stan Ross, a retired major league baseball player who was obsessed with collecting 3000 hits. A few years later, when some records checks revealed his total to be only 2997; he came out of retirement to achieve his goal and restore his nickname.

As cachers we can identify with the pursuit of odd goals and numeric totals. Even if they are goals that only we ourselves find meaningful, they are still achievements. Also, like Stan in the movie, what we find along the way in our quests is more valuable than a number.

update 8/26/2012 The area south of GZ is fenced off for construction of a new office "campus". GZ is outside the area for the time being so the cache is still in place. However, there is a lot of activity in the area so use discretion and be stealthy in your search. The cache is NOT in or behind the chain link fence.

Congratulations to Ninja Duck on his 60th FTF!
