Geocache Description:

Nice simple micro

"Bundanoon is Brigadoon" is always held in April and is one of the world's largest highland gatherings.
Bundanoon (Population 2035) is on the edge of the deep valleys and escarpments of the great Dividing Range.
Although the town itself dates only from the subdivision of the local properties following the coming of the railways (1860's), but its history is older than that. First mentioned by explorer Charles Throsby in 1818.
More importantly is the beauty of its scenery that had been discovered by people from the city, who travelled by train for day trips and holidays to admire the view. In the early 1920's there were up to 50 Guesthouses and Bundanoon rivaled the Blue Mountains. It had a slump period in the 60's. In the 1980'sit had a revival and the beauty was rediscovered.
Behind its sleepy old-world charm, Bundanoon is a vibrant community, with visitors enjoying the beauty of the Morton National Park and the fresh mountain air..
