Geocache Description:

Looking for black pill bottle

Update (8/6/18)
Decoy cache has been removed. The cache was replaced by someone but the original is still here. Also changed difficulty to a 2 from a 1 as the area has changed a lot since the cache was hidden in 2011. If hints are needed please message me. There has been several DNF but it really is there. Happy caching.

In March 1871 when the Santa Fe Engineers were still surveying this area, Capt. David L. Payne saw the need for access to clean drinking water. It was agreed to start digging a well in the location that is now at the intersection of 5th and main. The water from this well was the only drinkable water for months. And was said to be the best drinking water for many years. There is a plaque in the area commemerating the old location of the well.
