El Ayuntamiento de Valencia compró los terrenos que actualmente ocupa el Jardín de Ayora y en 1976 comenzó las obras de acondicionamiento, restauración y limpieza de un precioso jardín abandonado a su suerte durante muchos años.
Con una superficie de 48.300 metros cuadrados, está situado en una zona tranquila, el jardín tiene un ambiente sosegado y sereno, ideal para pasear, destaca su frondosa vegetación, con grandes ejemplares de ficus, jacarandas, falsas acacias, aligustres de China, Olivos, eucaliptos y árboles de la lana.
