Located at the Movie Towne Park next to the multi cinema complex and shopping mall at Invaders Bay.
Invaders Bay was the location where in 1797a British force under General Sir Ralph Abercromby invaded Trinidad. The British landed west of Port of Spain and marched towards the town. Trinidad was under Spannish occupation at the time. Realising his military resources were inadequate to defend the colony and wishing to avoid unnecessary destruction, Spannish Governor Chacón capitulated and was able to negotiate generous terms with Abercromby. Port of Spain remained the capital.
In recent times a piece of land has been reclaimed from the sea at Invaders Bay and the Movie Towne 10 screen cinema complex and shopping mall was constructed. There is also a Marriott courtyard hotel across from the park and on the other side of the Audrey Jeffers highway is the national stadium of T&T, the Hasley Crawford Stadium.
The Movie Towne Park is open daily until 10pm. You can park your car in the Movie Towne car park, or in the small car park across from the Marriott. There are some nice restaurants in the Movie Towne complex as well.
The cache has been restored with the help of Yoram David from Portugal. Many thanks to Yoram for this! Previous caches had been destroyed or stolen by garden maintenance workers or muggles in the park. Please use stealth when looking for the cache, since people may be nearby in the park or persons in the tall office buildings across from the park may notice you. The cache should be big enough to receive a travel bug or geo coin.
