Parklife - Woodhead Park Traditional Cache

Another lovely spot in Kirkintilloch - this time it's in Woodhead Park, which is probably the biggest park in the town. Given the limited number of hiding spots, the cache is a magnetic nano.
In many ways the park is right in the centre of a lot of the new things happening in the town - on one side of the park is the (relatively) new Leisure Centre which finally opened in 2007, and on the other is the new Health & Care Centre which opened in 2009.
As well as all the leisure centre facilities and the kids play areas, however, there's a lovely wee garden tucked away which is absolutely glorious on a nice spring or summer day. So wait for the sunshine, grab an ice cream in Ghiloni's, and come and relax in the park!
