Located in West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle, Martinsburg is less than 80 miles from Washington, DC. Martinsburg is considered a bedroom community from metro area and lacks no modern conveniences, the town’s storied past is evident in the well-preserved historic buildings and national landmarks. Visitors to the Eastern Panhandle hub will find unexpected delights, not only in its beautiful streetscapes, but also in opportunities for dining, shopping, and historical tourism. Also enlivening the downtown streetscapes are many annual art projects, such as banners, scarecrows, and snowmen that are placed throughout the downtown. Modern restaurants, a rising music scene, and hip stores also help in making Martinsburg the perfect mix of old and new styles.
