Park Kazimierzowski, to ogólnodostepny park na Powislu, polozony na skarpie wislanej i u jej podnóza, pomiedzy ulicami Obozna, Browarna i Karowa. Zajmuje obszar okolo 4 hektarów. Jego nazwa jest zwiazana z polozonym powyzej skarpy palacem Kazimierzowskim.
Juz w XVII wieku w tym miejscu istnialy ogrody oraz zwierzyniec palacu Kazimierzowskiego, pelno bylo tutaj róznych grot, fontann, altan i rzezb. Po zniszczeniach w czasie potopu ogród odnowiono dopiero w latach 1728-1731, jednak po przejeciu go przez Szkole Rycerska w 1765 roku pozostawal niezagospodarowany. W 1809 roku Szkola Lekarska zalozyla tutaj ogród botaniczny, którego czestym gosciem byl mieszkajacy w poblizu Fryderyk Chopin. Ogród byl starannie utrzymywany. W okresie miedzywojennym istnial tu ogród farmakognostyczny, a czesc terenów zostala zabudowana.
Park we wspólczesnym ksztalcie powstal w latach 60. XX wieku. Wspólczesnie planowana jest jego rewitalizacja wedlug projektu Grzegorza Chodkowskiego, Przemyslawa Wolskiego i Rafala Mroczkowskiego. Wyremontowane zostana chodniki, które wylozone zostana zwirem i przykryty "tunelami" z bluszczu. Posadzone zostana nowe drzewa oraz utworzona zostanie kaskada splywajaca do oczka wodnego. Park zostanie ogrodzony, otwarty bedzie jedynie w dzien. Koszt realizacji inwestycji planowany jest na 15 milionów zlotych.
Atutem parku jest ciekawa rzezba terenu powiazana ze skarpa wislana oraz liczne gatunki drzew, wsród których dominuja lipy i klony. Jest tez niewielkie oczko wodne i nowoczesny plac zabaw dla dzieci. Na terenie parku znajduje sie pomnik Tajnej Organizacji Nauczycielskiej, a od strony ulicy Oboznej, przy schodach, zabytkowa obudowa zródla.
Zalecam szukanie w godzinach popoludniowych, albo wczesnoporannych, kiedy nie ma zbyt wielu studentów schodzacych na Powisle, z glównego kampusu.
