Geocache Description:

Across the bridge near Hwy 101.

Across the bridge towards Hwy 101 you will see two yellow and 3 balck strips across the entrance to Tassajara Road. These are designed to give wildlife a mild shock (no problem to shoed humans) to disuade them from venturing out onto this busy highway and getting killed. Every year a number of deer and once in awhile a bear are killed along this stretch of highway while trying to cross. Safer alternate routes are planned to shunt wildlife from one side of the highway to the other.
