Geocache Description:

First in a series of planned Creeks of Davenport caches.

This series of chaches will take you to spots along the creek corridors of Davenport. These little out-of-the way spots are good locations for viewing wildlife in the city. These are also great spots to exercise a little Cache In Trash Out. These wooded areas catch a lot of wind-blown trash.

This cache is on Pheasant Creek. Here you are quite close to where the creek joins Duck Creek. In this spot you have a good chance of seeing Whitetail Deer, birds of prey, and your usual small mammals. I also spotted a Red Fox along the edge of the field you can see across the creek from this location. Come in the evening for your best chance of seeing wildlife.

I hid this with my 9-year-old son, but it is not a great spot for smaller children. You have a short, but pretty steep slope to deal with. We came in dry weather. Wet, muddy, or snowy ground will make this one more difficult.
